About the Artist

🌧RainySoulArt – My Story

Since I can remember, art has always been part of my life. As a child, I never lacked the basics, but I didn't have extra money to spend on expensive materials; so I made do with the pencils, colors, and tools I got for school. In that space, I began to draw everything that inspired me.

I was always drawn to the world of horror: stories, movies, legends… Even though my family didn't celebrate Halloween for religious reasons, I found that same aesthetic in my nightmares, which I would often put down on paper. I also grew up surrounded by animations like Adventure Time , The Amazing World of Gumball , and Regular Show . However, everything changed when I watched Coraline . It became my favorite movie and my biggest artistic reference: its dark and magical aesthetic made me realize that I wanted to dedicate my life to creating worlds like that—mysterious, strange, and full of wonder.

At school, I drew whenever I could, although some teachers didn't approve. Even a hurtful comment from a classmate made me stop drawing in class for a while… but at home, I never stopped. Drawing and painting were—and still are—my passion.

When I finished school, I knew I wanted to study art, although my father wasn't thrilled about the idea because of the prejudice surrounding the profession. For a year I kept drawing, experimenting with mixed media, discovering art journaling, and studying photography and digital video, which gave me a new understanding of light, composition, and visual storytelling.

With time, my father decided to support me, and I entered the Faculty of Arts. There, I learned many of my favorite techniques: charcoal drawing, acrylic and oil painting, linocut, sculpture, and many others. While I also work digitally, traditional techniques remain my favorites.

🎨 About RainySoul Art

I believe that every piece I create carries a part of me. I opened this store so that anyone who connects with my work can take it with them in the form they like best: clothing, accessories, decoration, and more. My dream is to live from creating and for my art to become a reference for those who love the dark, the strange, and the fantastic.

My style comes from my childhood obsessions: dark worlds, strange creatures, scary stories. I drew inspiration from works that shaped my imagination, like Tim Burton's stories and, above all, Coraline , which taught me that what's unsettling can also be beautiful.

đź–Ś My Style

I work with mixed techniques: painting, drawing, printmaking, charcoal, oil, acrylic, textures, and reliefs. I love to experiment, include photography, and even, in digital, imitate the texture of pencil on paper.

Always under the same premise: horror as beauty . Because the unknown can be frightening… but it can also be fascinating.

If you've made it this far, thank you for embracing the strange with me.
